Annual Membership Meeting successful. Regime change implemented. No blood spilled.
A quorum of 64 BRC certificate members which included about 80 individual members attended the Annual Members Meeting held at Doylestown Tennis Club
on Jan. 28th. The large crowd heard a report of the financial status of the club (it's all good), voted on bylaws changes, elected new board members,
and even had time to play tennis. Pictured above are outgoing president
Tom Isaacson and Joe Visco who led members through a number of proposed
bylaws changes, most of which were clarifications of language. One significant change which was adopted is that new members joining the club in 2012 and beyond, who become inactive (do not pay dues) and remain so for 5 consecutive years will lose all membership privileges including the right to redeem their membership certificate. The amended bylaws will be published in this year's membership book and
are accessible from the 'Club Bylaws' section of this website.

'We're not in Kansas anymore' department
As the good folks of Bucks County drive around town, it's not unusual to see
raccoons, groundhogs, skunks and the like along the roads. But for club president
Tom Isaacson, who has been on work assignment in Kenya for
much of the past year, he's just as likely to come across the odd lion or 2 which was the case in a recent drive-by photo op
when he bagged the beast in the image to the left. Tom is finishing up his Kenya tour and is looking forward to returning to the relative safety of BRC
and environs where facing a wicked tennis serve poses the greatest danger -
and he seems to handle those pretty well.
Solar Power for BRC?
